Franklin Graham To Dr. Fauci 'Science Isn’t Truth-God Is'

Last week, Dr. Anthony Fauci spoke on the podcast Learning Curve, a podcast created by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

On the podcast, Fauci spoke about the "anti-science bias" plaguing the United States.

"One of the problems we face in the United States is that unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are -- for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable -- they just don't believe science and they don't believe authority," he said.

Fauci continued, "So when they see someone up in the White House, which has an air of authority to it, who's talking about science, that there are some people who just don't believe that, and that's unfortunate because, you know, science is truth."

"It's amazing sometimes the denial there is. It's the same thing that gets people who are anti-vaxxers, who don't want people to get vaccinated, even though the data clearly indicate the safety of vaccines. That's really a problem," he added.

In response to these comments, Franklin Graham, noted idiot and Christian evangelist, posted about Fauci's comments on Facebook.

Among his stupid comments, Graham said that "Science isn’t truth-God is."

He also added that, "man did not evolve from apes or tadpoles as many scientists say. That’s just not true-God created man and woman as the Bible says."

So, it goes without saying that no one should listen to Franklin Graham for any reason whatsoever. But many people DO listen to this dolt. They share his same incredibly misguided beliefs, which is what led Fauci to speak about an "anti-science bias" in the first place.

This gets to the root of why I created this blog in the first place. Too many people are willing to listen to charlatans and con artists who speak with a tremendous amount of confidence about things they know absolutely nothing about.

Just look again at Franklin Graham's Facebook post linked above. As of the time I am writing this, nearly 30,000 people used the "Love" reaction on that post, and nearly 170,000 people liked it. Compare that to just a little over 11,000 who used the "Laugh" reaction.

We need to do a better job of educating our population and helping them learn to choose leaders that genuinely want to engage with reality and serve the community.
