Paula White, Trump's 'Spiritual Adviser,' Called For 'All Satanic Pregnancies To Mis

In November, I wrote about Paula White, the Florida-based televangelist and nutjob, when President Trump made her an adviser in the Office of Public Liaison.

White is in the news again because of a sermon she delivered earlier this month. In the sermon she called for Jesus Christ to "command all satanic pregnancies to miscarry right now."

Speaking before an auditorium full of faithful loons, White said, "We declare that anything that's been conceived in satanic wombs, that it will miscarry, it will not be able to carry forth any plan of destruction, any plan of harm."

The clip of her sermon, which you can find here, has generated a lot of criticism online. The Freedom From Religion Foundation has actually called for White to resign from her post in the White House.

Dan Barker, co-president of FFRF, said, "It's an embarrassment to our nation that White is a government employee. If White doesn't step down, Trump should fire her. Such primitive thinking, superstition and bigotry should have no place in 21st century U.S. governance."

White has responded to the criticism by saying that she was speaking in metaphor. "I don't normally respond but clearly this has been taken out of context," she tweeted Sunday. "I was praying Eph 6:12 that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Anything that has been conceived by demonic plans, for it to be cancelled and not prevail in your life..."

Riiiight... it was only a metaphor. Sure, Paula. When you watch the clip it does not seem like she is speaking in metaphor, but she is known for getting insanely worked up when she delivers her sermons. More importantly, as FFRF pointed out, her satanic wombs remarks followed her saying this:

"We cancel every surprise from the witchcraft in the marine kingdom, any hex, any spell, any witchcraft, any spirit of control, any Jezebel, anything that the enemy desires through spells, through witchcraft, through any way that is manipulation, demonic manipulation, we curse that, we break it. According to the word of God, in the name of Jesus, we come against the marine kingdom, we come against the animal kingdom, any - the woman that rides upon the waters, we break the power, in the name of Jesus."

Yikes... I imagine that with her hatred of the "marine kingdom" you do not want to take Paula White to the beach. I can picture her running along the sand cursing the "witchcraft" of the tides or something bonkers like that.

Even if she was speaking in metaphor, the speed at which these people bounce back and forth between the literal and metaphorical for their own gain is astonishing. They get to declare whatever they want because if it is inconvenient, it becomes metaphor, and then everything else they want true remains literal. Bonkers.

I am not expecting White to resign, or Trump to fire her. With all the insanity of the current administration, and Trump's desire to appease his conservative Christian base of support, White will likely stay in her role, despite the ridiculousness of all of this.
